Darwin LNG Dolphins Remediation
Â鶹ÉçÇøapp was engaged by ConocoPhillips for remediation works to structural steel on the berthing and mooring dolphins at the Darwin LNG (DLNG) Production Facility.
Client inspections had identified several locations for remediation due to coating breakdown and external corrosion on critical components. In addition to the dolphin structures, topside structural support members on walkways, fenders and other miscellaneous steelwork required remediation.
Our Scope
- Supply & installation of a suitable access system (rope access)
- Containment and collection of failed coatings
- Surface preparation
- Application of protective coatings
All works were required to be completed ‘online’ (LNG shipping operations continued throughout the project). Â鶹ÉçÇøapp undertook detailed planning prior to works commencing, working in close collaboration with operational representatives from Santos / ConocoPhillips to determine shipping movements and schedule our works accordingly. The works schedule developed ensured minimal disturbance to facility’s ongoing operations and loading activities.
